Time To Upgrade Your SL

Version 5.5

It's that time again. Mercedes-Benz just came out with SL version 5.5. All MB users out there with version 5.0 had better upgrade if you still want to enjoy the same level of tongue wagging envy a new SL gives you. MB 6.0 users are safe for the time being.

With the onset of the new S550 saloon, Mercedes-Benz has sought fit to change their SL500 to SL550 by upgrading to the new 5.5 Liter, V-8 engine.

While I could argue that cars like computers will need upgrading every month - I won't say it's so for the SL's case. The current body SL500 has been gracing the world's roadways since 2002. A four year refresher isn't a bad deal.

Though, with historical hindsight, it's still a fast changing of the guard for the Stuttgart marque.

By the way, do those foglamps remind you, dear reader, of any other German roadster? I'll provide you with one hint - the car premiered in Berlin yesterday.
