Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is staffed by BMW hired executives who just love to tease Rolls-Royce owners and enthusiasts alike that a newly developed Rolls is surely headed our way.
However, giving us dates like 2008 for the introduction of the next Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible (formerly known as the 100 EX concept) sounds about as promising as Saab declaring it's goal for delivering mass numbers of its Bio models to the market by 2010.
The world needs them right now.
Rolls-Royce must get another car out onto the showroom floor soon. As I have written in the past, divorcee Bentley Motors is cleaning up with successful model after successful model.
All told, Bentley will this year offer six, perhaps eight, when counting the limited edition Diamond Series Arnage and Continental GT models, to Rolls-Royce's two; the Phantom and the Phantom Long Wheelbase.
It's time for Goodwood to deliver the 101 EX two door and follow up quickly with the Corniche.
