Bentley Continental GTC

While I am no fan of the Bentley Flying Spur (the Continental GT / VW Phaeton based saloon) and I anticipate with greater relish the arrival of the next Arnage-based Azure Convertible, I must say that the new Continental GTC (the "C" is for convertible) is stunning.

Bentley Motors has timed the GTC's arrival in these United States for later this year.

Hopefully, the VW-Audi subsidiary will be wiser than Teutonic rival BMW has been with the next 3-Series convertible and aim to deliver before Autumn.

According to Autoblog, there will be one American client that will take delivery this Spring. An auction will be held to benefit a New York based charity in advance of the New York Auto Show this upcoming April.

The winner - who will undoubtedly pay more that the $200,000 MSRP for the privilege, will own the car months in advance of everyone else capable of purchasing their very own.

I would expect a waiting list for the GTC that will be akin to the wildly popular Continental GT.
